Round 9,
USA, Indianapolis
Incredibly, Force India completely locked out the front row as it would appear that this team has the edge at this point of the season, with Waijenberg on pole and Olu Daji in second.
A huge accident going round the turn four banking on the new section of the course, was a terrifying way to start the race. Lewis Page clipped Eddie Williams Jr on the outside, and his Brabham flipped into the air at over 150 mph. He then skidded across the circuit being hit by Red Bull's Steven Kox.

Thankfully, he walked away uninjured. Kox was out on the spot, whilst Williams Jr continued. The WRL concluded the crash as merely a racing incident, and no penalties were issued.
A thrilling race saw a three-way fight between Jake Sanson, Fumio Fernandez and Olu Daji, after Waijenberg retired early with a stuck throttle. It ended when Fernandez spun whilst trying to catch Sanson, and then McLaren's world champion slowed to a halt with transmission failure.
It resulted in an emotional second win of the season for Olu Daji, which sets him up for a realistic title attack.
Tim Holland set fastest lap for Mercedes.
