Microprose Grand Prix 2 World Racing League

After 20 laps... the sprint race has come to an end, with Per Rugen (HSV) winning his first race ever in SuperLeague Formula.... with him on the podium in second Hernandez (Real) and in 3th Rugens teammate Walewski.

Fastest Lap: Rudi Kuriyenko (Arsenal) - 43.606

Main Race Quali - Norisring - Sunday 6-June

Hernandez (Real) grapped the Pole in 41.794 with Rugen, Bell and Edwards near him. It was really close with Whitlock on 7th (+0.088), Walewski on 12th (+0.196) and Oelschlager on 25th (+0.279). Nunez and Moreno did not Qualify.

Main Race:

Start: Rugen had a poor start form 2 back to 5. After the first corner we had Hernandez, Bell, Kevlin, Edwards, Rugen and Page on the first spots.

It was close racing (to close) in the last corner between Zambini and Le Courty.

Lap 2: Moreas (11th) has a Engine Failury
Lap 20: Pellet stopt on the track with a Loos Wheel. Sanderson could reach the pit with also a Loose Wheel
Lap 22: Donnelly stopt with Transmission Problems
Lap 30: We still have Hernandez in the lead in front of Bell, Kevlin and Edwards. Kevlin is the first to stop for fuel, who will have the best strategie?
Lap 32: Oelschlager brakes to late, hits the wall and spins in 9th

Lap 36: Bell mad his stop and falls back behind Kevlin and Edwards
Lap 46: Hernandez still has pitted but he has a break failury. He now needs to pit.
Lap 47: We have a new lead with Rugen in First, Page and East in 2nd and 3th they still need some fuel. Kevlin is the first one running who has already stopped, but Hernandez has new tires and sets a new fastest lap.
Lap 52: Kuriyenko is out with a loose wheel. He was running in 6th
Lap 59: Bell (3th) and Valenta (12th) have technical problems

Final Lap: Kevlin has Hernandez on 0.3 seconds, Hernandez has one change... the last hairpin.... he brakes late but its not enough.

Russian Pitirim Kevlin (Benfica) took his first victory in Superleague Formula with Hernandez (real) in 2nd and Yesterdays Sprint race winner Per Rugen (HSV) on 3th.

SuperLeague Fomula Statement

We are a little bit behind with racing..... butt we are running again..... Updates can be done untill Wednesday 4-august... after that i will run the races at Autopolis and Zandvoort....

Between these races is no place for updates.....

DRTW Statement:

With a clash between the Indycar and Superleague Formula schedule Ajax-Driver Alon Goldbaum will not race at Autopolis.... Belgian Thierry Gromik from the Formule 2 team DRTW-Spyker will take over Goldbaums seat for Autopolis.

Our other Indycar-Driver at Barcelona, Whitlock has chosen to drive in het Superleague Formula.... His place at the Indycar event at Ceasars Palace will be taking over by our Team Principal Rick vd Woldenberg.... who will race in GPWC and Indycar at Ceasars Palace.

Sprint Race - Autopolis

Qualifi: 1. Bell (1.28.619) 2. Hernandez (1.28.821) 3. Zambini (1.28.858)
Chao Gu who replaced Whitlock Jr coudn't Qualifi for the sprint missing P26 by 0.6s

Bell had a good start.... but had technical problems and needed to pit... after that he was the quickest on track, setting the fastest lap in lap 9. But the race was to short to get back to P1

Page took the victory for Rangers FC.
